Conference on Strengthening Prevention and Protection from Digital Violence Against Women Held in Aqaba
Under the auspices of His Excellency Eng. Naif Al-Bakhit, Chairman of the Council of Commissioners of Aqaba Economic Zone, on his behalf, His Excellency Mr. Ramzi Al-Kabariti, Commissioner of Youth and Entrepreneurship in Aqaba Economic Zone Authority, and in the presence of Mrs. Manon Boisclair responsible for the political department at the Canadian Embassy, the president, members of Aqaba Governorate Council, and a number of representatives And representatives of the local community in Aqaba Governorate, Karak Castle Center for Consultation and Training, in cooperation with the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives CFLI/FCIL F, launched a “ Strengthening ways of prevention and protection from electronic violence against women” Conference, which comes within the digital safety project for elected women in the southern governorates, Where the Department of Family Protection and Juvenile Department, and the Jordanian Psychological Society participated in the discussion session. On the legal side, Dr. Attorney Jihad Habashneh spoke. This conference aimed to come up with a set of recommendations to amend relevant laws and procedures to raise awareness of the seriousness of digital violence toward women
The second part of the conference included training on initiatives for members of the municipality and governorate councils of the teams in the south to ensure the transfer of information and achieve sustainability
