Training for Local Election Candidates to Enhance Political Participation
In collaboration with UNDP, this initiative sought to bolster the engagement of election candidates in political life by providing essential training on various topics, enabling them to effectively participate in decentralization elections. The training specifically addressed areas such as electoral campaign management, legislative and legal awareness, budgeting, gender equality, and media. The primary goal was to equip candidates from vulnerable groups with the knowledge necessary to navigate the candidacy process successfully, increasing their chances of winning elections and assuming political office.
The program's scope encompassed the training of 100 individuals, including women, youth, and people with disabilities, across six governorates: Irbid, Ajloun, Balqa, Madaba, Tafileh, and Aqaba. The training covered key subjects directly relevant to decentralized elections.
